Question

Overlays not moving with rest of site scrolling

Hey all,

I'm working on creating some overlays. In the attached link, the box with "Glacier National Park" shows the overlay when clicked, but if I scroll down a little bit, say and inch, the overlay is no longer lined up with the original box. Is there a way to fix this?

Also, the client would like to see rollover states for the six boxes below "Discovery in Every Direction." Is this possible? I've been reading you can't have overlays below the fold?

Thanks for your help!

    Hi FlatheadBeacon,

As per your description, when you scroll overlay is still at the previous fixed location as you have set in prototype mode and it's not moving with the background element.

For hover effect, please upvote this request: -Tap/Hover Effect – Adobe XD Feedback : Feature Requests & Bugs and share your comments.

    Thanks,

    I'm having same issue....

The overlays seem to only work well for mobile, when you have large items "sliding in", like a hamburger menu, or keyboard from the bottom. These things that slide in are not expected to scroll with the background so it works...

Anything else, like a dropdown menu for a select box, will NOT work if the background is able to scroll. This is too bad - I need this, like now. (for web).

I suggest looking up Adobe XD Feedback : Feature Requests & Bugs for a similar issue and up voting it. If you don't find anything that matches your requirement, please create a new request providing as many details as possible for the team to reproduce the issue.
