Problems with nested components

Hello, I need help with the following:

I want to add severeal new components to another in the hover state. So, I select the components I want to add, chose the target component and klick cmd+v. The components are added. But: They get a red frame around them and loose the hover-states they had. Also, I cannot edit them anymore. Is there any easy way to combine components without loosing the states the have?
