Prototype links in component instances.

Hi,

I have a datagrid that I have created and turned into a component.  There are a number of instances of this component.

Is it possible to have these component instances "inherit" the prototype links that are in the main component?  I just assumed they would be automatically created, but this isn't the case in my project.

    I have this same issue - objects losing their links - when turned into a component with other objects as well - example - buttons.

     

    If I delete the new component and recreate it, often the links will exist.
