Recording XD animation

Question

I have tried to record the prototype animation, but it did not work. A strange pop up menu appeared and the animation preview just stopped at that moment and nothing was recorded.

Hi Marianna,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear that you're having trouble in recording prototype. Basically If you are using Mac OS you can record prototype by clicking on record preview under desktop preview.To know more about desktop preivew and recording a prototype please follow the steps mentioned in the link: https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/user-guide.html/xd/help/preview-designs-and-prototypes.ug.html

Also could you please share few more details like:

The version of XD.
Is this happening on a specific file or multiple files?
Also Is it possible to share a video of your prototype recording workflow so it will be useful to reproduce the issue from our end.
Tried to reproduce the issue by recording a prototype which had some basic design from our end on latest XD version-40.0.22.12, but couldn't able to reproduce it, so please share the above mentioned details.
