Release mouse button while scrolling triggers transition

Hey ho,

I did the XD Tutorial and figured out that scrolling also triggers a transition after releasing the mouse button.

Expected:

Scrolling a view and releasing the mouse button stops the scrolling.

Experienced:

After mouse button was released the underlying transition was triggered.

Is this issue known?

Is this the right site to post this issue?

Cheers,

Aaron

Correct answer aaron aroy

You should not drag to scroll. Just use the scrollwheel, trackpad, etc. to scroll.

Hey Dan Rodney,

Thanks for the reply.

To be honest, I'm not satisfied with your answer just saying that I "should not drag to scroll".

If I should not use dragging to scroll, why is it possible?

Either you implemented it on purpose or it was unintended.

The last I can not believe because dragging to scroll is one of the core user gestures on mobile devices.

Therefore, I think it is a big that scrolling is not consuming the mouse button release event.

Please correct me if my assumption is wrong.

Thank you for sharing the link. Can you post it here as well (it's from the XD tutorial) so that others can take a stab at reproducing the issue and helping you?
