repeat grid edit

I establish a text in a rectangle and want to edit text in a repeat grid of that rectangle. What is the sequence of action? edit text then group first grid before going on the second grid? Editing in repeat grids is confusing on layer panel also with edited text changing back and forth to original. What am I doing wrong?

    I reloaded adobe xd and the editing of text on the repeat grids is remedied but when I unscroll  and rescroll with handles all the edits are no longer seen. Did not use repeat grid again, just up and down scrolled with handles. Is this the way it is supposed to work?


    I am  unable to reproduce your issue. Just to be sure, are you following the process in this document?

    If you are, and are running into issues with editing individual elements in the repeat grid, can you try creating a new project and let us know if you are able to reproduce the issue?

    Hey cletis300,

    There isn't any proper sequence to do this.

    You can edit any grid and continue the thereafter.

    For more convenience, first, select the text tool, then select the text to be edited (2 clicks needed for a repeat grid).

    Once you edit the text simply click outside the empty space and it should be fine.

    Hey ankush thanks for response

    When I repeat grid and try to edit text with text tool, the placeholder text (from original grid) disappears and I insert my new text, after done I click and repeat grid that the text was in disappears. After getting it back the text tool no longer works in the other grids. This program doesn't work for me

    Looks like we are coming to a conclusion.

    What I understand is you are editing the text first and then repeating your grid, however, I would suggest you repeat your grid first and then edit the text in individual boxes.

    if it still behaves weird try rebooting your machine once and see if that works.
