Reposition the Assets / Layers / Plugins button group

It would be fantastic if we could relocate the Assets / Layers / Plugins button group in the bottom left corner. While it's nice having them there, on a large 27" iMac there is a ton of mouse movement required to get to these buttons all the time, and a designer is often switching between these three modes.

Maybe an alternative idea is to add tabs to the top of the flyout panel, so it is easy to switch between the 3 states while the panel is open.
