Question

Runtime Broker constantly comsumes cpu even when Adobe XD is idle

After I update Adobe XD to the latest version(34.3.12.1) today, I found Adobe XD is not working smoothly as compared with the earlier version.

When I examine Windows Task Manager, it shows "Runtime Broker" always takes up my cpu.

Restarting XD and computer did not make things good.

And I found it weird that RuntimeBroker.exe is acquiring memory and then releasing them, again and again and again. It seems it stucked into an infinty loop.

My Windows Version is 10 Pro 2004

Same issue here.

After multiple tests, this does not seem to be related with the number of components, unless 15 is a lot . This is so frustrating. The problem appeares wihen migrating to (34.3.12.1), on windows 10.

Hello

A temporary fix has been found.
However, this method does not apply to all users.
I have three PCs of the same specifications, and the usage environment of the PC is all the same.

Two out of three PCs experienced this phenomenon, and only one of them solved it through this method.

I deleted all programs related to Adobe through 'Adobe Creative CloudCleanerTool.exe' provided by Adobe and subsequently reinstalled and resolved them.

This method must be deleted using the above tools, rather than by conventional deletion.

Use Google Search to download 'AdobeCreative CloudCleanerTool.exe'.

Hello
The same problem occurs on our company's PC.
The three PCs we own continue to experience the same problem for three months, and we share some details.

PC Specifications
1. XD Version: 37.1.32.2
2. OS : windows 10 pro
3. CPU intel i5 -6500

Problem situation
1. More than one XD file does not open on your PC.
- Unable to enter file modifiable state after loading is complete.
- As far as I'm concerned, it's due to excessive CPU usage of 'runtimebroker'.
- If my PC uses only XD without any other programs, the CPU usage of the XD is 85% and the CPU usage of the PC remains at 100% at all times.

2. Files with complex components will have 1 situation unconditionally.

3. When working on one file, the following situation occurs:
   A. Freeze files when zooming in during operation
   B. Freeze files when typing Korean text
   C. Frequent 'no response'

Since last update on my Adobe XD, it is almost impossible to use it !!!

One work, it's work fine.
Two works, impossible ... impossible to select item on the works, impossible to save. Adobe XD is like "lock".

It is very painful for me.. someone from Adobe have an idea ?!!!

Hi David,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Could you please share a few more details like:

  1. The version of XD.
  2. Is this happening while working on a specific file or multiple files?
  3. Does this happen on a file with complex components or it's happening on all the files?

We're here to help, just need more information.

Regards

Rishabh

Been having crashing issues with XD for the last few weeks now. It crashes after a while by itself, even when I'm away from my computer. Even after the latest update ver 35 (I can't get the full version number because it's frozen as I type this), it's still freezing up.

System

Windows 10 PRO - Studio 2 desktop (OS build 19042.630)

Intel i7-7820HQ @ 2.90GHz

RAM 32. GB

The same here, Runtime Broker even consumed more CPU than Adobe XD.exe.

My OS info: Windows 10 Pro - 64 bit (build 19041)

My XD version: 35.0.12.14 (Starter)
