I was scaling text + by mistake I pressed something. Now, whenever I try to transform the text, any text, the box appears with only a circle at the bottom of it, and I can only scale the text proportionally. I do not have the four corners + the rotation tool anymore on that box.

Please help!

You inadvertently converted the text to a simple label (point text). You need to convert back to “area” text. There is a toggle in the text pane to do this. Let me know if you can’t find it.

For what it’s worth you can rotate polint text by hovering your cursor around the bottom handle.

Thanks for the help, butI have tried that, not the same as before. When I change it to the "area" form, it does not increase text when I scale it. It is hard to tell what it is even doing, but for the most part, my text stays the same. I am assuming it is only changing the text box dimensions... not transforming the text itself.

Correct. For Point Text, resizing the object is the same as resizing the text/font size.

For Area Text, resizing only resizes the containing box. The text/font resizing in independent, so resize it in the Property Inspector.
