Select text tool -> set font size -> type -> font size reset

There is a similar problem with color where it's hard to select a tool give it some settings and then use those settings. Now all I can do is use the tool and then update the settings/color afterward. This is on windows 10.

Hey Matt,

See this - Set Default Style for Text Tool – Adobe XD Feedback, which I think is closer to the one you are dealing with.

For now, If you select an existing piece of text and then leave it selected while you use the Text tool to create new text, its style will match the piece of text you had selected.
