Selected object is not highlighted in the layer panel

What a respoinse you got - wow. Like have time to do QA for Adobe. Just adjust your monitor color colab. It's a disply issue in the monitor for me. The blue highlight was being washed out by white point setting or bright settings on monitor.

I've got this problem together with massive performance problems after the recent update. 
BUT! Restarting my machine solved it so far and I didn't encounter this particular problem anymore.

Sorry to hear that. I am unable to reproduce the issue at my end on a windows machine. In addition to what Jagriti has asked, I would like to know if vice versa is working for you. Like select the object from the layer panel and then see if it's highlighted on the artboard. 

Otherwise, share the video of your workflow for better understanding.

Sorry for the inconvenience you are facing. Would you please send the video of the issue. And also is it happening in all files? Let us know if it is still happening after quiting and relaunching xd.
