Selecting multiple items across different groups broken while the layer list is filtered

Question

The problem: Neither multi selenction nor shortcuts such as Shift+Click, Cmd+Click work while the list elements filtered.

Use case: In this example i as a Designer have an imported sketch fiile, i wanted to migrate to XD (good luck with that), and need to select all the redundant elements in the list with the names Cut 1, Cut 2 ... across different groups.
I open the layer list and filter for "cut", get the list of more than a 3000 of them and unable to multiselect. I can only select / delete them one at a time. Filtering the list of layers does not suppose to break the multiselect functionality.

This means that the above feature is not complete yet.

This is the best way of communicating with the Engineering and Product Management teams regarding issues and suggestions so they can be implemented in future releases.
