Shortcut to change tool in toolbar.

Hi!

Howto set focus on the toolbar so I can change tool?

Case: I have a background, select the texttool and add a text. Now I would like to select the background to change color. If i press "V" the letter V will be written (of course). How do I move  focus from textarea to toolbar so I can press V and select the pointer-tool?
