Question

Slow performance issue with XD while co-editing

Hi friends,

I've recently noticed that when my colleague is working on the same file as I am, XD slows to a complete crawl.  The behavior is very similar to when the prototype is Saving to the cloud.

Are there are tips or tricks I can try to rememedy this.  It's so slow it's unusable & unstable.  :  (

Thanks.

I'm having the same issue which is a big concern,

especially on Windows machines. Mac users don't get any performance issues but Windows users get really bad performance. Adobe please review the software internally because as of right now co-editing with 3 or more people is not possible.

    Hi there,

We're so sorry to hear about the trouble. Please share a few more details like:

    1. The version of XD & OS.
    2. Is this happening with a specific file or multiple files?
    3. We'll also need the System Logs
    4. Please try reproducing this and when this happens please share the spin dump file by following the steps shared below:

    Win:

    • Launch Task Manager
    • Select the Adobe XD process
    • Right click on the Adobe XD process
    • Select “Create dump file”
    • This will generate a binary file

    Mac:

    • Launch Activity Monitor
    • Select Adobe XD process (might show as “Not Responding”)
    • Click on the gear in the upper left of the Activity Monitor
    • Select “Spindump”
    • This will generate a text file

Note: Please add both the files to a shared location and share the link with me through private message by clicking on my name.

    Regards

    Hello Rishabh,

    Thank you for your response.

Am I correct in assuming that I need to generate the logs when the issue occurs?

    Thank you.

Yes, once the issue re-occurs, please shared the details asked above.
