Software Bug - Character Styles and Components Won't Update

This happens after I updated my XD. Every time I open an XD file that was created before the software update, I try to update the Character Styles (e.g. change font) and they won't update.

 

For example, I try to change h1-white from Roboto to Montserrat. I can make the font change when the Edit window is open, But when I close the Edit window, the font style changes back to Roboto and all the changes I make are gone.

This also happens with Components. Oftentimes I try to update the parent component but the child components won't update. This has happened a lot with XD files that were created before the software update.

 

This is obviously a bug. It's very frustrating. Please fix it.

Same is happening to me, it makes me think they are making XD worse so we move to recently bought Figma and said that will "reduce investments on XD". If that's the case, it's a terrible strategy for us users. I was expecting and waiting for the company to make a proper converter.

It also happens to me with fonts and components, had to use work-arounds instead. Please fix this ASAP.

  • Can't update Character Styles：can delete or add new ones.
  • Can't add new status of a Component, all status looks the same as "default"：can split different status into different components instead.
