Sometimes cannot replace photos in mask-group by ctrl-v new photo

I hav created mask group layer, but when I try to replace the photo by another one (which is also in art-board already).

the drag-file and drop replacing still work, but just cannot ctrl-c + ctrl-v to replace.

met the same issue in your XD ?

To Paste image into image fill, use "Paste Appearance" ctrl-alt-v (not "Paste").

Does that fix it?

great! it works. I found it's caused by a 'grouped-image' I copy-paste from Sketch.

when I copied the photo, actually it copies the sketch cropped image, and failed to replace the cropped image (which i made by XD).
