SVG imported into XD doesn't show up properly in XD.

Hey XD community,

 

i tried to import an SVG from the internet into my XD file but it just looked weird. Nothing like the original, even though the original just shows up fine on my computer.

 

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Thank you for reaching out. In addition to the information asked by Peter, it would be really helpful if you can share a short video of the complete workflow from importing the svg into XD so that we can understand better. Are you using the latest version of XD?

Picture this: "Hey doctor, I picked up a guy from the streets, he has a wound, it looks weird. Nothing like normal flesh and blood. Even though I know it must have looked normal before." What would the doctor's answer be ? 😉

 

Could you share a screendump of the original and current incarnation ?

And if that's difficult to do or not appropriate, then try opening it in Illustrator (does it still look okay?) and re-save the file as an SVG, using the default settings (SVG 1.1).
