Symbol positioning??

I have just discovered how to create a symbol in order to use an element on multiple artboards. In my case, I am using it for a navigation system so the symbol is multiple elements grouped together and it works great. BUT....when I drag the symbol onto a new artboard, it just lands anywhere. How do I get the symbol to copy/repeat the positioning on each artboard so I don't have to position it every time?

There is no such functionality in XD. The only way you can get the same result is using Copy/Paste instead of dragging - that will preserve the coordinates of any object on the canvas. And with the recent update you can paste on the multiple artboards at the same time.

Thanks ilyak43958808 I thought that might be the case. How do I paste to multiple artboards at once? That sounds like it could help. Ill try some things today and if all else fails then I will create a 'master' artboard with only the nav on it, and copy paste that as I need to.

Select the first artboard, and shift-click the others you're interested in, then do a paste.

That didnt seem to work. All it does is add another blank artboard...
