Text disappears, cannot be selected

I'm running XD 35.0.12 on macOS 10.15.7 (19H15). 

 

The issue is happening to a text box with very long copy. Below a certain point, the text disappears when selected. The cursor can be used to highlight parts of the text in the visible portion, but not the invisible portion. The arrow keys allow the cursor to move, but hilighting the invisible text becomes impossible.

    Thanks for responding, no worries about timing—I was able to find a workaround.

     

    To answer your questions;

    1. Yes, this is still happening in the latest version.

    2. Yes, It is happening to multiple files. I pasted the same text from a plain text .txt file in TextEdit into another file and got the same result.

    3. It is happening with multiple fonts, both .otf and .ttf

    what was the workaround you found please? I'm dealing with a long credits page and I cannot format it as the text disappears after a certain point when I select it to edit.

    1. Is this happening with a specific file or multiple files?
    2. Is this happening with a specific font or multiple fonts?
