Time to revive XD!:)

Its time to wake XD up... And insert some Fireworks features in (like export html and upload directy to FTP).

Can we make it happen?

    XD is dead. There, I said it.

    The development team disbanded. Fireworks was killed off a long time ago now: Figma and XD have in common that Adobe doesn't care about their software unless they can own that market. They always failed with web and UX because as a behemoth company they are too inflexible and cannot compete with smaller more lean companies. Adobe's answer is always then to buy out the competition. And they failed this time, which is a good thing in my opinion. If they had acquired Figma I bet they would have run it into the ground just like they did with all Macromedia's tools.

     

    Adobe is not interested in competing with Figma. Their acquisition failed, and in my opinion they have thrown in the towel.

    Time to make the switch to something else! ...Figma, Sketch, Penpot...

    I agree. I don't know why no one talks about how much simpler XD is. When you're designing, you're not thinking about the tool but rather focusing on the solution, the concept, and the idea instead. Figma requires too much attention even to do the simplest tasks. XD's best feature was the specs, which, during the handoff, every developer loved way more than Figma. Oh, and Figma is also very expensive.

    It's an issue with any kind of software you aren't familiar with. Figma is very feature heavy now, and this can make it intimidating to someone coming from Xd, which has a fraction of the features at this point. They used to be very similar 5 years ago, but not anymore.

     

    I would argue Figma's user experience is miles ahead though, things just work as you expect (mostly). No breaking components, no need for hacks, much better text engine and handling. A ton of actually working plugins. So many community resources. It's just too good to compare to Xd at this point. And I'm saying this as someone who knows Xd inside and out and was with it almost from the start.
