Time trigger a component?

Hello,

I am trying to make a simple loading circle that I can drop into any artboard that will automatically spin with no tap required. Is this possible?

I have the animation working by making a bunch of artboards and setting time triggers but I can't make the artboards into a component - only the image itself, and the image itself does not let me set a time trigger.

Thanks

Hey there! Xd currently supports video and Lottie animations, which do exactly what you want to do - they can play once or loop. You can learn about using lottie animations in Xd here and you can find free ones or read on how to make them on the lottiefiles website.

In short - lottie animations are exported from After Effects via the bodymovin plugin, as a single .json file, which holds the animation and vector path data.

It looks like the plugin "Anima" would let me embed a .gif but it's a subscription and doesn't work seamlessly with XD. There must be a way to do this right?
