TWO PART DROPDOWN NAVIGATION

Question

Hi,I'm more of a UI guy than UX and I'm designing a simple app.A two dropdown system would save clicks but are they a good practice?Something doesn't feel intuitive about it.Just wondering other's thoughts on the matter.-bestKevin

The first time I read this I missed that you said app. Consider using app tabs at the bottom of the screen instead of a hamburger menu if possible. They are easier to tap because they are easier to reach and expose more options (that people can always see).

I've seen websites that have multiple levels in their site nav. Having too many levels can be bad, but 2 levels deep should not too complex, as long as it's intuitive to follow.
