Type-On in Adobe XD such that when user taps predetermined characters appear

I'm wanting to create a Type-On whereby when the user taps on the virtual keyboard, predetermined characters populate the field.  So the user isn't actually typing... just tapping to advance to the next character.

Ideally there would be a place to input all the text initially and as the user taps another character appears.

Can someone suggest a technique other than a basic slideshow to get this done?

Thanks!!

Thanks for your feedback... I think Protopie has the ability to bring up the native keyboard in a simulation... this is a pretty basic function... too bad Adobe hasn't added that yet.

Again, thanks for your feedback - very helpful!
