Unable to change the opacity of the instances through master component in XD.

I have made certain duplicates of my component. Although I'm being able to change their size and shape, but I'm not being able to reduce their opacity through the master. Will someone help me out with solutions for this? Is this done on purpose by the developers or is it just something missed?

Hello ,

This is the limitation or you can say as designed. Opacity changes on main doesn't reflect on instances but if you select inner object of component and do opacity changes then it gonna reflect on its instances as well.

I hope this will clarify your query.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. This is one of the limitation wherein the rotation and opacity properties do not propagate from the Main Component to instances.

Please see the "Things to watch out for" section on this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/work-with-components-xd.html

You may also submit your feedback on our XD UserVoice page so that our team can also look into your request.

Thanks,

Harshika
