Unable to drag graphic into XD from CC Library

Greetings,

I'm relatively new to Adobe XD, but a long time user of other CC products.. Recently I started using XD at work to design mobile and web apps, but I'm experiencing a few issues trying to import graphics into my artboards from a shared CC library.

With an artboard selected, where XD's "Layers" panel shows me the contents of that artboard, when I try drag a graphic from the CC library that was shared with me (read-only access, if that makes a difference), I tend to get inconsistent behaviour.

When it works, I get:the image in my artboard, sometimes with "Mark for Export" ticked and sometimes not ticked.

However, sometimes I get the following:

  • XD de-selects my artboard, moving to the "Pasteboard" instead
  • the graphic I dragged shows in the list with "Mark for Export" ticked
  • nothing shows up anywhere in my document
  • selecting the element in the "Pasteboard" contents list shows it's X position, Y position, width and height all as 0

At the moment, the one graphic (made by a colleague using Illustrator) that I'm trying to import showed a small fuzzy preview with a spinning "loader" overlay, before disappearing from view. After this I paid a bit more attention and noticed the problematic behaviour described above. Now, trying to drag that same problematic image into my artboard doesn't show the "loading" preview first, it just goes straight to "Pasteboard" with a 0 size.

Any idea what might cause this behaviour or how I could fix it?

Note: I'm currently experiencing this on my work desktop running Windows 10, I am about to head home though, so I'll try the same thing from my personal laptop (also Windows 10) and see if I get the same behaviour, but this is something I need to use at work, so I still need to figure this out...

    Hi there,

Thank you for using Adobe XD and sharing the detail description of the issue you are facing with Adobe XD. We would request you to please check out this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/xd/how-to/add-assets-from-cc-library-to-xd.html and see "Using Library Content in XD" and confirm if you're following the same process as mentioned and let us know if that helps.

    Thanks,

    Harshika

Hi Harshika, if you actualy read my "detailed description of the issue", you'll see that I am following those steps and that some of them work while others do not. They're all vector drawings from Adobe Illustrator, so there shouldn't be any difference between them. I'm just trying to get a video of the issue now, so I'll post it here as soon as I have that.
