Unable to use text tool in adobe XD

There is an issue where when I tried to type something on the artboard, the text box won't show up. After I clicked on the text feature and click on the artboard and start typing, nothing appears. Same goes for renaming the artboard and layers where when I type nothing changes. Are there solutions to this? Thanks
