Im a really basic Adobe XD user!

when I copy and paste an object from a board across to another I get this warning (below).

I'm saving my documents to my local computer

can anyone explain to me what this means and what the ramifcations are? I seem to be able to copy and paste objects in the way I woul like with no issues, but am I missing something that may affect me later down the line? thanks!

 here is the warning:

Changes starting September 2021

  • You will no longer be able to link cloud documents to reuse assets.
  • Existing local and cloud documents that have linked assets will no longer propagate updates when edits are made to assets.
  • Copying and pasting a Component that is not published to a library will result in an unlinked copy of the component.
  • Creative Cloud Libraries will be the only way to publish and share linked assets across documents in XD.

    Hi Julia23784031uhf7,

Thank you for reaching out. You may copy-paste objects with the Starter plan, however, you will not be able to use components from the libraries. Libraries allow you to manage your components and update them on multiple files.

This link is an excellent read to understand the functions and usefulness of components with libraries- https://helpx.adobe.com/in/xd/help/work-with-creative-cloud-libraries-xd.html

Here are the highlights of the difference between these two plans.

I hope this answers your question. Feel free to update this discussion if you need further assistance.

    Thanks,
