What can I automate when creating a design system?

Dear community, 

I would like to create a design system and I am currently looking for ways to automate some of the work. Maybe you could help me out with these questions:  

  • Is there a way or plugin to import several icons at the same time, and haveing them built as finished components using the same size?
  • Is it possible to create multiple components with one klick or plugin?
  • Is it possible to create names for multiple text or color styles automatically (e.g. out of the layer name?)

The automation ideas definitely looks interesting but I am not quite sure of the plugins available for these workflows so I am keeping the discussion open for our community experts to put in their advices. You may also submit your feedback here: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests so that our engineering team can look into your request and share their advice.

 

For your 2nd question, do you want to create the same type of components? You can create a master component to define a reusable element, such as a button, and you can change any of its properties to customize instances of that element. Changes you make to an individual instance are specific to that element, but changes you make to the master propagates to all the instances where the property hasn’t been customized.
