I have a page wherein user has to provide a passcode or a pattern which are under 2 distinct tabs. So, what is the good practice among the below 2 for prototyping?

1. Create a component for the whole page layout (except nav bar, app bar) and then add multiple states to it and continue with the changes needed

2. Create multiple artboards for the screen(s) and add the transactions/ animations accordingly.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. Depending on the design, I'd recommend going for components and states as it will reduce the number of artboards thus making it easier to manage your assets. I found an article on components and states which you can refer to here: https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/create-component-states.html

Let us know if you need anything else, we'll be happy to assist.
