What is the fate of XD post-merger collapse?

Now that the Figma acquisition is no more, will XD be revitalized and feature requests addressed or is it going to languish into oblivian? I need answers. If the former, when can be expect new feature enhancements to be rolled out? If the latter, will there be a comparable tool?

Adding on to this, almost all the management team has moved on to new projects or left Adobe. I assume the same is true for most of the engineering team as well. I would not expect anything more from Adobe.

While I know it will be a major investment for Adobe, my sincere hope is that this last year they have heard from enough users that many of us want Xd to continue. The value of Adobe is in the bundle of software. Is Figma ahead, sure... Can you still build great interfaces with XD, hell yes. While there is no good way for Adobe to look good here, they can at least show it's users they are committed to supporting our teams and workflows and reinvest in Xd. It is a good product that is only getting better. If they will invest in the product, we will remain customers.

Unfortunately, it's rather uncertain. Figma is such a strong tool and Xd is so far behind that it will probably be considered a bad investment to try and develop it further, as it has been plagued by some bad development and platform choices early on.

I'd personally like to see it at least fixed and polished as it is in its current state, even if they don't add new things, but I don't think that's going to happen either.
