where is the symbol icon?

HI there

very new to adobe XD!

I am finding this diffiuclt, at bottom left of interface - I can see the 'asset' and 'plug in ' icon - but no symbol icon (looks like a set of glasses on the wonk!)

is adding symbols now availble in assets? or is there a way to set up the interface to show this?

Hi Julia. Symbols in Adobe Xd are called Components 🙂

They reside in the Assets panel, under Components.

In the layers panel they are marked with a diamond icon, with a few variations for instances (outlined diamond) and instances with overrides (outlined diamond with a dot).
