Why is the numbering of comments on prototypes changing?

Question

I got a lot of comments from a client. in some cases the client references to another number of a comment … but if i clear, or delete a comment every others where new numbered an i lose the reference. Is it a feature or a bug? Is there way on my site to avoid this unlogical behavior?

@T.Kehr I don't think that's a bug. If you delete a comment, then the reference is removed as well. But, if you resolve it, you can use the bottom icons to see the resolved comments by using the filters by status (resolved, unresolved) to focus on specific feedback or if you prefer, hide the annotations themselves. This will preserves the comment history.

So, a good work around is instead of deleting the comment, you could either make another comment saying it's fixed. or provide a different updated link with the new changes.
