XD 42.0.22 is very slow and freezes or not responding to keyboard on windows machine

Hello,

Since the latest update Adobe XD is working super slow, sometimes it just freezes or not responding to keyboard.

I am using XD on Windows10 64bit, it is up to date with the latest Winodws version.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing - did not work. 

It is impossible to work like that, please fix it soon!

I have the same issue since updating to 42.0.22 on Windows 10 64bit. I looked at memory usage and when it freezes or does not respond I see a spike in processing usage to 100%. This goes away after 20 seconds or so after being idle. Then it comes back once I try to edit a layer or add text. XD becomes unusable at this point and I'm unable to do anything else when it takes up 100% of the processor. Added a screenshot for clarity.

We highly encourage you to please update XD to 42.1 version which has fixed few of the reported issue. Please see this page for more info on what is fixed: https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/kb/fixed-issues.html

 

If you still face issue, we would request you all to please generate Adobe Logs and Crash dumps and upload them to a shared location such as Dropbox and share the URL with us here or over a PM.

 

We will try our best to escalate the issue.

  1. Is is it slow on a specific file or multiple files?
  2. Please capture the memory utilization in the Task Manager while working on XD and share a screenshot.
  3. Please collect and share system logs by following the steps shared here https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html

 

We'll try our best to help you with this.

Hi,

It happens in all files, I also heard from colleagues that they have the
same problem.
