Question

XD automatically adding fullstops when typing double spaces.

I'm working on a project requiring many double spaces between words and XD automatically adds a full stop after a word when its follwed by a double space input, see grab below. It's slowing down my workflow incredibly, as I have to delete them or type double spaces very slowly to prevent this from happening. It seems to be an auto feature. It's not happening in any other Adobe software such as Indesign or Illustrator.

How do I stop this from happening? Is there a setting I can toggle off? I can't find any, to do so. I'm on a mac with OS 15.1.1 and always keep XD up to date.

Have you tried a different font? Since XD is in maintaince mode, this issue will remain.

Thanks, Chris. Unfortunately, it auto-adds the full stop with other fonts too. After your suggestion, I tried several including system fonts. I'll have to labour on. Also, thank you for highlighting the maintenance mode status of XD. I just looked it up. I wasn't aware. It's a real shame, as I've used XD since early on and felt it was great for my workflow. It feels like the Adobe ecosystem is slowly losing it's value proposition. Showing my age, it starting to feel a little bit like back in the day when Freehand and Quark Express began losing their domance to Illustrator and Indesign.
