XD Comments No Longer Appearing in Right Panel

I have 195 comments (specifications) on a slide in an XD document that I have been working for some time now. When I opened the link again the right panel does not display any of the comments or any of the usual UI to add a comment, it is just blank as you can see in the screenshot below. 

I have tried all the steps that I could find with no solution including turning comments off and then back on again. 

I have looked on both my mac and PC on  Edge, Chrome, Safari and Firefox browsers and none of them work. 

I need a solution to this right away as I have a deadline and would hate to have to re-add all of these comments onto a new link which I have created and the comment UI shows just fine there since there are no comments added btw.
