XD constantly running

Each time a new update for XD is available, I have to go into the task manager to shut XD down.  This occurs even though I haven't used it in months.  It always seems to be on.  Does it open when any other Adobe programs initiate?

Any help with this would be great.  I have seen this question asked in the forums, however, I haven't seen anything posted regarding this issue.
