XD Fails to recognize trademark & copyright symbols in .txt file imports

Tried different fonts, copy pasted symbols from the web & tried to enter them manually with the ALT+0153 code. Whatever i try the .text file imports with a  replacement character instead. Pasting the symbols directly into XD works, but i need to duplicate this 300 times. Rather not waste my time. 

Has anyone figured out how to fix this? Thanks
