activation window issue for CS5.5

Ok firstly I have to say these forums are probably the most user unfriendly I have ever encountered. Nowhere could I find a general issues forum or a cs5.5 forum or anything of the sort. Youd think that a company that makes such terrific intuitive software (well at least some programmes) would be able to get it together to provide an easy to use forum but thats another whole thread.

So the reason Im here is because I have just installed CS5.5 and all was going well, I activated and had no probs. Now a few days later when I open any adobe programme I get a window saying I need to activate and must be online to do so.  If I click continue the window does nothing and just keeps saying must be online even though I most definitely am online.  So I close the window and the programme opens. I really dont want to have to  go through this most irritating experience every time I open a programme. What should I do?

I also found out that after effects is no longer supported on my system ie imac intel core duo which is highly disappointing but theres nothing I can do apart from by a new mac.  I have contacted support and they basically just said when you buy a new computer deactivate/uninstall and reinstall on the new one.   yay thanks for the help not.  Why can they not provide people who have spent good money on the their software with an alternative such as letting us have after effects cs4? Why do they still have 32 bit support for windows but not macs?  I cant afford to just go a buy a new mac at this point in time.

I'm sorry you had problems finding the appropriate forum.  Unfortunately, you ended up posting in the AIR installation forum, which probably won't result in much help.  Would you mind reposting in the Creative Suite forum instead?  In addition, if this is a new purchase you should be able to contact our support department directly.

Thanks,
Chris
