Adobe Air Installation Issues

I am trying to install Adobe Air but keep getting an error that states... 

This Application requires a version of Adobe Air which cannot be found.

Please download the latest version of the runtime from

http://www.adobe.com/go/getair

or contact the application author for an updated version

Again, i get this when trying to install Adobe Air.

The PC is a Win7 home Premium 64 bit Gateway

Any help would be appreciated.
