Adobe Air installed but cannot be found/opened on Macbook

Hi,

I have installed Adobe Air on to my Macbook Air (10.8.5) several times. When I first bought my laptop, Adobe air was working fine. Each time it I install the application, it says that adobe air has been installed but I cannot locate the application on my laptop to open it.  I currently have adobe reader 9.5.5. I have tried to uninstall adobe air and re-install it but that has not helped.
