Adobe AIR pixellating my video or swf

I have an AIR app created for desktop that is designed to go fullscreen on open. The problem is, I noticed that the quality of the graphics was very poor. I checked the individual .swf, as well as the video source being loaded into the .swf, and they both look crisp.

Why is AIR compromising the sharpness of my assets?
