Adobe AIR Screws up Windows 8 and stylus pad

Adobe AIR screws up my stylus pad to point it is unusable.

I am using a Wacom Bamboo stylus pad, Model: CTH-470.

I don't think you need any further information.

My stylus pad has worked absolutely perfectly until I got tired of seeing the "Please install Adobe AIR" nag popup that constantly popped up whenever I plugged the stylus pad into the USB port.  Eventually I got tired of that damned popup and let Adobe install AIR.

Now my stylus pad no longer works as it should.

Do I absolutely need Adobe AIR?

Can I uninstall it without any repercussions?

I used my stylus pad with Adobe CS6 (mainly Photoshop and Illustrator, "Ps/Ill" hereafter) and it always worked perfectly.  However, after finally installing Adobe AIR, it no longer works as it used to.  I have updated the drivers and it still fails to work as it should.  Mainly, the working area in Ps/Ill tends to shift off screen and I cannot get it to come back.  Even shutting down Ps/Ill (and losing my work) still screws up Windows itself to the point I have no choice but to perform a hard reboot (holding power button down until machine shuts off, wait a few seconds, then power on).

These problems NEVER occurred until I tired of your damned nag popup and installed Adobe AIR.

How do I uninstall Adobe AIR without screwing up my system unit and my stylus pad?

And some more questions for you.

Why has Adobe Reader become so crappy?  It displays PDFs with an almost ancient DOS-style pixelation that makes reading PDFs virtually impossible.  I have since uninstalled Adobe Reader and gone with BETTER PDF readers such as Foxit and Nitro.

How come the Adobe Acrobat Pro version I installed years ago ceased working?  It seems since y'all moved to the "cloud" based crap, it has ceased working completely.  Or is it I have to purchase a "cloud" subscription?  Which is something I shall never do.  This cloud based subscription crap you big companies are moving to is a complete rip off.  Why should I pay for a subscription that will you to do nothing but allow you to STEAL all my creations and intellectually property?  And do not try your schpiel about Privacy Statements.

I think I solved the problem by uninstalling everything Adobe, then reinstalling the Bamboo drivers first, then reinstalling Adobe CS 6 Creative Edition, then the Adobe Flash and Shockwave Players.  And NOT reinstalling Adobe AIR.

Seems to be working perfectly without Adobe AIR.  Thus, there is something wrong with Adobe AIR.

Thanks.

Since my uninstallation of Adobe AIR, my machine and stylus pad have been working perfectly.

Proof that there is something screwy with AIR.

As to what the problem is, I do not know.  I just know my machine and stylus pad work perfectly without Adobe AIR.

Now I need another question answered: How do I get Adobe to quit telling me I need to install Adobe AIR?

I don't want AIR.  I don't want some piece of screwed up what type of software AIR is on my machine.  AND I DO NOT want to ask me incessantly that I need it installed.

I'll also be posting this to a new topic.

Can you please post the snapshots of Illustrator window. Can you please check if the illustrator document is a floating document. Is this behavior specific to AI and PS or you are seeing with other apps like MS word

Thanks
