Adobe air stopped working

Hi all, I run 2 applications that use Adobe air. In the last few days I have found that they run intermittently and at other times don't run. (Cannot connect). Support for one has told me it is most likely an air problem, and as both applications use air and both  stop, and work, at the same time it seems likely.

I have uninstalled air and reinstalled it, and havea tried reinstalling over the top. Doesn't seem to make any difference.

I should say I'm not massively technical.

Anyone see anything I should look at?

Just had an idea. I logged on as another user and ran one of the programs and it runs fine as another user, but won't run for me as a user.
