Adobe Air Terms of use question.
We have a user who needs to have Adobe air installed on a corporate machine. We had the Adobe Air Terms of use reviewed and our network security team had a question regarding section 7.3 below:
7.3 Local Storage. Flash Player and Adobe AIR may allow third parties to store certain information on your Computer in a local data file known as a local shared object. The type and amount of information that the third-party application requests to be stored in a local shared object can vary by application, and such requests are controlled by the third party. To find more information on local shared objects and learn how to limit or control the storage of local shared objects on your Computer, please visit "http://www.adobe.com/go/flashplaver security".
The question our Network Security team had is: Who is the 3rd party for this license referenced in the section and what information will be stored in a local shared object. Our Network Security group has looked in the actual Terms of Use but were unable to find that info.
Before installing Adobe Air they want to know those questions to make sure there are no security vulnerabilities.
The user needs the software as soon as possible so a quick answer would be much appreciated.
