Question

Adobe Air will not download. Installation log & windows log below. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help, but after downloading the Microsoft cleanup utility the BBC iPlayer entry was not there to delete. So deleted AIR instead and downloaded it again and still BBC iPlayer desktop will not download. Any more suggestiions?

I'm attaching a script that will collect your installed product data and print it out to a file called "Install Info.txt". Hi Colin,

Sorry for the delay. Could you try enable MSI logging, download the iPlayer directly from: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/dm/version2/revisions/bbc_iplayer_desktop_v327.air and try to install again? Once it fails, find the msi log and paste the contents here.

I've got the same problem Tells me to contact my administrator. I've tried all the suggestions. None of them work. Starting to think that I've got to find applications that don't use Adobe Air. Three weeks of playing with this is making me crazy. Anyone have any ideas that really work?

Thanks for your email. However the link below is to software (ErrorTeck) that costs money and as your Adobe Air is a free download it defeats the object having to pay for "free" software. Also in the past these "solve all your pc problem" software programmes cause more problems on the pc.

Have you any more suggestions that do not cost money? So many people with the same problem, it sounds like it is Adobe Air at fault?

Thanks for your email. Your attached "AIR Zapper.vbs" file worked and allowed me to load Air. However BBC iPlayer still will not download their desktop (whose file type is ".air") , although their download goes further before saying error.
Any more recommendations?

To install this tool on 64bit Windows, you need to run this program in compatibility mode for WinXP SP3 (right click the exe file, Properties -> Compatibility)
