Hi,

I was reading the mobile requirements in the Air 2.7 release notes.

It says the following devices are supported:

iOS devices

  • iPod touch 3rd or 4th generation, iPhone 3GS or 4, iPad 2
  • OS 4 or later

Am I reading this right? No iPad 1 support???

I can't believe this...

Please tell me this is a type from Adobe!!

This is a little off topic but did we ever get an explanation why Adobe dropped support for the iPhone 3G starting with 2.6 I know it was supported with the original packager and I am still using it for an app that I originally published to support the iPhone 3G.

Just curious seems like a huge chunk of the market to ignore.

I guess it was, because older devices ca't load iOS4.3 and Adobe wanted to feature that (which makes sense).

I have 4.3 running on my 3G at work right now. Apple still supports the 3G and they are nutorious for dropping support for their own devices.

I am guessing iOS 5 will probably be the official death of the 3G but for now its still very active.

My bad I have 4.2.1 on the 3G, well then it makes sense.

Sure it is. I just tested it.

Though this would explain, why there is nearly no performance gain on iPad 1...

The release notes are available at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/906/cpsid_90612.html. The supported devices are iPodTouch 4th generation, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, iPad which means both iPad 1 and iPad 2.

Could you mention the release notes link that you are checking?
