AIR 25 - Avoid quit tvOS app when Siri Menu button is pressed?

Hello,

I'm porting an iOS app to tvOS using AIR 25 Beta version.

The key event handler detects perfectly Menu button press and release, but when is pressed always exits to OS screen.

As other tvOS apps we want use Menu for back navigation going to previous app screen.

Is there any way for doing this?

Hello,

Yes you can implement this in your application. For this, you would have to call preventDefault() in the event handler for MENU button. This is also mentioned in the AppleTV release notes at https://fpdownload.macromedia.com//pub/labs/flashruntimes/shared/pvt/air25_appletv_releasenotes.pdf

To read more about preventDefault() click here.

Please let us know if you need more information on this.
