AIR 3.2/3.3 for BlackBerry PlayBook and BB10 phones

What will it take to get Adobe to help RIM update their AIR runtime to 3.2/3.3 for both the PlayBook and BB10 phones?  Both of these are the best platforms to run AIR and Stage3D would be a value to all communities.  I know RIM is responsible for the runtime, but they cannot do it without the assistance of Adobe.  If we lose support at RIM, the other platforms may follow.  We need to keep the eco-system evolving, or we will be stuck with HTML5.

I have my app running with AIR 3.1 on the BB10 phone and it runs great.  It will run better with the latest, accelerated version.

Well .. I need this as well.  But realistically...  why would Adobe use resources and time for a platform no one uses ?  There's a little over 1 million PlayBooks out there.

Majority of the PlayBooks out there were purchased by RIM employees.. they got a massive discount. ( $99.00 ).

The rest that are out there.. a good chunk are corporate users that don't really browse the app store.

It's just not worth the effort.

That might be true for the tablet side, but BB10 phones schedule out later this year will have a much larger consumer base.

I don't believe all Blackberry's product managers are become mad and they will be include AIR runtime without Adobe support. Don't panic! people are not fool.

Anyway that is a great new. Just the same AIR app will run on iOS, Android and BB10! Adobe has a lot of interest in AIR as game platform, so sure they are interested in embracing as much platforms as possible and of course, corporate users also buy games. Fortunately, where AIR runs Flex apps can also run. So,.. what is the problem? I only see good things and no problems.

+1, the lack of updates is disturbing.
