AIR 3.7 Android 4.3 - Play Store Install not possible

Hi,

this is just to inform people with AIR 3.7 Android Apps at the Google Play Store.

We have an App at the Google Play Store which was compiled with AIR 3.7.

This App was running fine till updating a Device to Android 4.3.

Now this App can NOT be installed anymore via the Google Play Store.

The error is: Package is not signed correct.

We will now compile the App with AIR 3.8 and resubmit it or is there anything else we can do?

Best regards,

Roman

Yes, there was a bug in 3.7, which was fixed in dot release of 3.7 (3.7.0.209). So, you can either pick up the dot releases of 3.7 or you can directly pick up 3.8 which is currently available on adobe.com

For 3.7.0.209, please follow http://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/archived-air-sdk-version.html

I update my apps with 3.7.0.209 after reading this post yesterday. Getting a lot of complaints today that the app wont update. Seems like every update someone is left holding the bag.

"Sup     I cannot download it"

"Lg optimus elite new update wont work     Sais invalid package file"

"It wont download     It wont redownload!! I tried to clear cache, uninstall and redownload and reboot but nothing works"

"Extremely dumb     Won't download"

"Can't Install     I can't update this. I tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, and I tried rebooting my phone.  LG Lucid"

"Was a great game     Was 5 star and now after update wont update says invalid deleted game and still says same thing"

P.S. previous release was built with 3.7.0.1860

Hi,

That's very strange, the bug was fixed in 3.7.0.186 as well, you shouldn't have seen this issue in this build.

Could you please try unzipping the APK you uploaded on Google Play and see if it shows up duplicate icons as following?

Also, could you please share the Google Play link of your application,we can try downloading it at our end and investigate it further.

-Thanks
