AIR + Android audio playback in background

Hello everbody,

at the moment I am evaluating the realisation auf a radioplayer using a rtmp stream for android devices.

There are two question for which I could not find any advices or resoltions.

My questions are:

1.) Is it possible to play/continue an audiostream, even if the app itself is pushed into background?

2.) How are updates handled for apps in Android-Store? Is it the same as with the updateroutine for AIR on Desktops?

1) Background audio behavior for android is available with the latest version of AIR SDK.

2) Updates are handled in similar fashion as on Desktop.

Are there any ressources/links, maybe on adobe devnet, available for audio playback while app is in background?

I already searched the web so far, but could not find any hints.

Not very generic in context to audio playback in background but will surely help you with development on AIR for Android.
